PRODUCT DESIGN & TECHNICAL PLANNING · Roulette
The complete roulette product was defined before development.
What started as a check of a Unity template became the full product plan. We defined the layout, game states, release scope, wallet rules, settlement, recovery, and technical behaviour.

Settlement and recoveryWhat was happening
The supplied template used a wide layout and trusted the client with wallet and result logic. The intended game was portrait-first, needed a controlled first release, and required clear rules for money, spin outcomes, reconnects, and duplicate requests.
What the data showed
The template review showed that the existing wide-screen build would need a major rebuild to support the intended portrait product. We used that finding to set the UX, release scope, and technical rules before development.
What we did
We designed the full game: chip layout, betting, screen states, results, wallet flow, Golden Spin, cash out, error handling, reconnect recovery, and technical rules. The client wanted several modes at once; we kept the first release focused on normal roulette and Golden Spin while documenting the wider product.
A REAL PART OF THE WORK
What the team received
| Area | Decision | Build rule |
|---|---|---|
| Spin and payout | The server owns the outcome and settlement | A repeated spin ID returns the saved result instead of paying twice |
| Wallet and cash out | Separate wallet, roulette balance, draft bet, and settled spin | Cash out is unavailable during an accepted spin or while draft chips remain |
| Reconnect | Preserve accepted spins and balances on the server | Restore the authorised result without duplicate settlement |
| Release scope | Launch normal roulette and Golden Spin first | Defer extra modes until their player value is clear |
